The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards is adding a new category this year: the Food and Drink Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

From mouth-watering burgers, to silky craft ales and fiery street food; show-stopping noodles to ethical juices and eco-conscious confectioneries, the inaugural Food & Drink Entrepreneur of the Year Award will recognise and champion those entrepreneurs who are running the businesses that are taking the nation's taste-buds by storm.

The winning entrepreneur(s) will have used their culinary and business prowess to create an established business that delivers a product as tantalising in taste as their entrepreneurial story.

Grenade, the go-to brand in the active nutrition and healthy snacking space were the overall winners of the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2018.  Co-founder Alan Barrett commented: "It's great that food and drink is now recognised separately from tech companies and online clothing, for example, as each category is so different it's hard to compare.  Food & Drink encompasses the best-known brands in the UK today such as Coca-Cola and Cadbury's so it's much harder to disrupt this space."

The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in the United Kingdom.  It celebrates the incredible stories that have taken entrepreneurs to where they are today, regardless of size or turnover.

The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards are open for entries until 28th June 2019. For more information and to enter, please visit https://www.greatbritishentrepreneurawards.com
