The University of Kent will be hosting its very first Kent Coffee Festival next summer to showcase the eclectic mix of café culture from specialist coffee roasters within the county and beyond.

Taking place from Friday, June 26, to Saturday, June 27 2020, within the Gulbenkian building, the festival will celebrate the booming coffee market and highlight the wonderful local talent as well as leading national brands. On day one, the festival offers trade buyers, hospitality professionals and manufacturers the opportunity to sample ground-breaking products, see inspiring brand launches, and participate in a wide-ranging programme of talks and live demonstrations covering the latest trends.



Exhibition: Suppliers from the hospitality industry showcasing products for the coffee sector

Artisan Food Village: A selection of some of the best local food and drink producers

Exhibitor Demo Zone: An opportunity for exhibitors to showcase products in a separate demonstration zone

Latte Art Zone: A hosted programme of latte art demonstrations and workshops

Coffee Roaster Zone: A selection of the best coffee roasters from around the UK brewing up a storm with their standout blends

Competition Theatre: A hosted barista competition celebrating the best of Kent’s baristas taking part in a range of challenging tasks including batch brews; cup tasters; maverick mixologists and latte art

Talks & Workshops: A programme of workshops and interviews to provide an insight for industry professionals. Topics for discussion will include sustainability within the coffee industry, staff retention, increasing footfall to name but a few

VIP Espresso Martini Bar: An exclusive area for networking and taking a breakout from the festival
